Using Airlink Demo version

Hello.
Before I buy Airlink, I wanted to try it.
Tx is installed on a PC from the local network (I allowed port 45 in the firewall on the server). Server have a static IP.
Rx is installed on a computer in another place and is configured like : XX.XX.XX.XXX:45 (no stream title).
But it doesn't work, the reciever can't connect to the server...
Why?

Re: Using Airlink Demo version

On The TX side you must open the port you are using on TX computer to make that stream available to the internet. The port that must be opened is on your router on the TX side.

So in other words, if the TX PC's address is 192.168.1.100 and is using the default AirLink TX port of 1386, then go to the TX router and forward port 1386 to the IP 192.168.1.100 and also make sure that Windows XP's firewall is turned off on the TX side by going to Start>Right Click "My Network Places" and choose "Properties">Right Click Local Area Connections and choose "Properties">Click Advanced Tab>Windows Firewall Settings and choose "OFF".

Re: Using Airlink Demo version

Yes. The computer where the Tx is installed is 192.168.0.2
So I allowed a port on the Windows' firewall on the server like this:
- description : "Airlink"
- host IP : 192.168.0.2
- extern port : 45 TCP is checked (this is the port I choose)
- intern port : 45
Is it correct?
(The server is 192.168.0.1 (local) and have a static IP (internet)).

Re: Using Airlink Demo version

What Port is the receiver set up to use?

In other words, the RX should be asking for your internet IP address like this

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:45

The PC's firewall should be turned off and the port of 45 should be opened for the TX PC on the TX router.

Re: Using Airlink Demo version

I just tried another way...
I shuted down all the firewall (on the server, on the Tx PC and on the Rx PC).
So the config is:
- On Airlink Tx : Host Port=45; Host IP Address=81.56.159.102; Stream Bitrate=64kbps CBR.
- On Airlink Rx : IP Adress:Port=81.56.159.102:45.
It still doesn't work. So I read the logs and I can read : "21/10/2005 15:17:31: Server Connection Lost".

I'm sorry disturbing you but I only have 10 days to make test.
Thanx

Re: Using Airlink Demo version

Is there a manual for Airlink? I am trying to set up the system and would like some instructions.

There is no manual, however you can email me privately and I can help. It is very simple to set up.
