Can Raduga work with Shoutcast ?

Hello, Fellows,

I'd like to know if Raduga can work on a webradio also, broadcasting through Shoutcast for instance. If not, it would be very nice if someone could make kind of a plugin and encode audio from raduga to Shoutcast ( as there's a plugin called SAM2 encoders ). It could be kind of a DSP plugin ...I could use Sam encoders in order to encode and send to the server, and play the music in Raduga, but this way, people won't know the songs titles...and on a webradio, we need to broadcast the current song or the history songs to a website.

Some other thing:
Does Raduga support APE and MPC files ??
I have tested, and I couldn't make it recognize these excellent files.

So, any suggestions ?

Thanks in Advance,
Dihelson

Re: Can Raduga work with Shoutcast ?

To encode the Raduga stream you can use Winamp with the Shoutcast DSP plug-in or Windows Media Encoder or Live365 Studio. These programs encode the signal directly from the sound card output (Stereo Mix).

To insert the titles use the add-ins Shoutcast or WMEncoder:
http://www.wolosoft.com/en/raduga/add-ins.html
These add-ins are also available for HTML and Icecast-2.

To play other file types you will need DirectShow filters. For MPC you can use this one:

and for APE...

Wow! Thank you, Wolfgang Loch,

For this precise information. This solves a lot of questions I had about Raduga on single block. That's nice. I will try them. I thought Raduga would only work nice for "real" radios. You and people from Raduga development team could advertise more frequently that Raduga is really NICE for Webradios also.

And once more, Congratulations and Thank you so much.

Re: Can Raduga work with Shoutcast ?

Hey! I'm so glad to hear you can use Raduga with Shoutcast - however, I was just wondering if you could give me some more detailed instructions on how to get my Raduga broadcast to come through on my Shoutcast server using Winamp. Thanks a lot for your fantastic program!

Re: Can Raduga work with Shoutcast ?

Ollie,
You need the Shoutcast DSP plugin for Winamp. This will will record whatever your soundcard is set to (line-in or stereo mix) - It can then send to a shoutcast server.

http://www.shoutcast.com to download the DSP plugin. Help details and hints are all included.

Re: Can Raduga work with Shoutcast ?

Hello,

I saw that in order to To insert the titles we use the add-ins Shoutcast or WMEncoder, but this add-in is only available for registered ( already purchased ), and so, it won't work on the Raduga Free Demo version available for downloads ?
