Is there a way to force SuperEdi to load a file AND specify its syntax? For example, I would like to use it as my source viewer for my browser. But since the source uses a temporary filename (no extension) SuperEdi displays it as plain text. If I could specify the source viewer as "superedi.exe syntax=html" then I could force it to display as html.

Any idea the best way to accomplish this, if it is possible?

Many thanks!

Re: View Source

You can specify syntax highlighting for the default file type (the one with no name) in Tools/Options/File Types. The default file type is used for all files without extension or with an extension that does not match any other file type.

Re: View Source

Thanks for the tip! However, I wasn't successful. I set the syntax (HTML+JS) and the coloring (HTML+JS) and the Line Numbers (ON), but whenever I view the source (or load a file with no extension) ONLY the line numbers show up. There is no syntax coloring.

(NOTE: When editing the file-type with no name (default), I don't supply anything in the extension box.)

Any idea if I am doing something wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Re: View Source

That's a bug. It will be fixed in the next version.
