getting tools to stick

I am trying to add tools to the tool bar and they don't seem to stick to the toolbar after I have exited. I only seem to get my batch file to work once and then it is ignored in some cases.

The batch file I am trying to stick on the toolbar is pcall.bat and it is for bcx basic.

(I have a syntax file available here)

Re: getting tools to stick

Do other settings, such as window position and preferences also get lost when you close and restart SuperEdi?

Re: getting tools to stick

I seem to be opening up a document one every time I open superedit.. Looks like tool bar settings stay put..

It looks like it is working today maybe it had something to do with the amount of apps I had open... Is there a way that I can change the output window of my tool to the text window instead of the output window or use the bcx or python interp for my scripts???? (If not that would make this impressive compared to programmers notepad because of it's simple design)

Re: getting tools to stick

All personal settings, including the tools are stored in the per-user path of the Windows Registry. Therefore they are only available on the particular computer. For tips on using SuperEdi from removable media see:

and

You cannot change the output window of a command-line tool. Why do you need this? You could however write a script that opens a new document and redirects any output to this document.

Re: getting tools to stick

code generators plus you don't have to learn extra scripting languages you can use whatever you have. bcx for example has a compiler and an interpiter. Programmers notepad has this but it is realy complex.. I take it I might be able to do this by using superedit as a com object..

I used google translation and it works very well with italian.. better than it does with portigues or french (I converted a couple of manuals to see if I could run enough add's to make it worth while)... I am not sure what I am looking for when I look for portabilising software??? I never thought it would be an issue with anything that I was using.
