Thanks to Bill for the advice.

We have another issue - I've programmed a number of events such as BBC world service, music shows etc from our live satellite downstream, by using filenames such as 120.live (for a 2 minute insert), and setting the event to "start immediate".

The events do not happen on the next morning, but if I program the same 120.live a few minutes into the future on that day (say, at 1410 I program an event to start immediate at 1420), it works fine.

Do I have to save the events list before it will activate on the next day(s)?

I would backup the events list by saving it and also check to make sure that your expiration date is something impossible such as the year 2099 so that the event does not expire.
