Audio recorder

Can somebody recommend a GOOD low-cost windows based audio recorder with voice enhancement features that I could use to make jingles, spots, commercials, promos.

Thanks for the help and regards,
Luis Filipe

Re: Audio recorder

Sound Forge 4.5 is often bundled with your CD recorder's software and works quite well. I use it for our station's production needs every day with good results. You usually have to pay an extra $20.00 or so for the mp3 version.

Re: Audio recorder

I faced a dilemma when we purchased a new production room computer. Our old Sound Forge software refused to load into the new computer. It seems Sony has purchased Sound Forge, and now they want a fortune for the software. Purchasing a new copy was a little out of our budget. This was not good.

But I found a new, and better solution, and it’s free. Try Audacity at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

It has a very similar look and feel as Sound Forge, but offers a lot of improvements. They even encourage you to share it with your friends.
