Newbie Problems?

I've just purchased the new version of Raduga 3.6 and have had a couple of problems.

First, I've been experimenting with rotations and created a log of some music and voice tracks. I saved it as a .rotation file put it into the Scheduled Events section. It inputted okay but, when I clicked the "Test" button, it gave me the message: "Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported."

Secondly, I had a copy of Raduga 3.1 that I had been playing with for the last few months. It was on a machine I was given and, as far as I know, was licenced properly (there was a licence file there and the Raduga commercial did NOT play). When I installed 3.6, all the logs and mini-playlists no longer functioned. Closer inspection revealed that the file paths were no longer correct. I had Raduga on one machine and my music library on the other. The logs as viewed through 3.6 pointed to a directory on the local machine. Through the magic of Find and Replace, I put the correct paths into the log, but still no joy. New logs created are okay and, while I haven't lost a lot of old material, I'd like to know what the problem is.

For what it's worth, everything seemed to go okay on the install and licencing and everything else has worked perfectly so far.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Newbie Problems?

1.) The "Test" button for events works only for actual sound files, but not for control items like rotations, random tracks, playlists, scripts etc.. These items will work however when they are played at the scheduled time.

2.) The file format of Raduga files .alb, .mpl and .ini have never changed. Please choose File|View Path from the menu to see the actual file names in the master playlist. If there is one item that Raduga can't find, you can select it and copy the path with Edit|Copy. Then enter this path for example in Windows Media Player.
