Text Cleanup

Could you perhaps help out with a SuperEdi script which can do the following with a huge merged master hosts file?
* Reduce al tabs to spaces
* Reduce all spaces to single spaces
* Remove all end-of-line spaces (spaces between entry and carriage return).
* Remove all blank lines.
* Place all comments (entries preceded by #) in a new line.
Here's the format of a typical entry:
127.0.0.1 badsite.com # trojans, worms and dialers.
I merge and update the six top hosts files monthly and doing all the above manually is a schlep.
Can SuperEdi do it all with a singe click?
