How to read Tamil Unicode (Latha) font on super Edit

Dear Friends

I'm new to super edit

I wish to read unicode (Tamil) using super Edit

I have the necessary fonts on my **Win XPP** machine

For e..g I CAN READ the following webpages written
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
in unicode Tamil

http://www.anbudanbuhari.com
http://www.ezilnila.com
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/anbudan

However If I cut and paste these into Super Edit and set the font to Latha (the Tamil font that comes with XPP), I can't choose that FONT on Super Eidt

I suspect this might be something with the *type of font *

Can some kind soul help me on "..How do I read Unicode Tamil on Superedit .."

SuperEdi only supports Monospace fonts. For example, you can use the font avafxd.ttf from
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tscii/files/Avarangal/

The Latha font is already pre-installed with Windows XP. Since this font is not a fixed-width (monospace) one, SuperEdi will not allow you to select it.

But there is a trick you can try: Hold down the shift key while selecting "Format/Font" from the menu. Now SuperEdi will show all fonts, including those with variable width. So you can select "Latha" and read tamil text. However, editing text will probably not work as expected.
