Please note that the "tool tip" feature in SuperEdi v3.1 did not work correctly for program icons configured on the toolbar. All the popups were illegible! Please comment.
My system is on Win 98 SE and used a Celeron 900 CPU. I used SuperEdi v3.1 for Win 9x ( i.e. non-Unicode version) Please advise how to correct the problem.
Thank you very much for the new SuperEdi v3.1.1 which completely fixed the "Tool tip" popup problem in Win98 SE . Please note that in the "About" window, the version should be 3.1.1 not 3.1 as presently shown . Again, congratulation for a terrific editor ! It really well deserves its title as a "SuperEditor" !
Further testing of both SuperEdit 3.1 and 3.1.1 indicated that the Drag-Drop of programs onto the QuickStart bar did not work correctlty . SuperEdi just opened any .exe file dopped on the QuickStart bar ! So far, I can only use right-click context menu to configure programs on the QuickStart bar . Please advise a solution to this serious problem of SuperEdi in Win 98 SE.
I can't reproduce that. When you drag files onto an empty space of the QuickStart bar, then they are added as new icons. If you drag files onto an icon, then the files are opened with the corresponding application. It works fine on Windows NT and XP.
Unlike the tooltips, I would not expect that the drag&drop feature behaves differently on different Windows versions.
You are correct ! I made the error drag-dropping files with the arrow head lying outside the QuickStart bar. Before, I assumed it was only necessary to keep the "little square" inside the bar . Now I know : it's the arrow head . I was wrong. Thanks for the advices .
