Mute Line-in Durning Commercials breaks

I want to use raduga only for commercial breaks every hour, then go back to playing the live event. Is it possible to have raduga mute the line-in while playing commercials? then unmute once finished?. if not can someone please explain how to do this with raduga 3.1

Hello Julian

I suppose by now all is working OK. I can give you an idea of what I would do and it works put a live dot file in your master playlist for 3600 or greater seconds and put your scheduled events also put repeat on.

I have two sources to my sound card one from satellite and the other from radio or internet I used Javascrit and a real simple circuit on RS232
inputs are not at once but at different times.Ken

Is it possible to have raduga mute the line-in while playing commercials? then unmute once finished?. if not can someone please explain how to do this with raduga 3.8.1 Also, I'm using a creative Sound blaster sound card. So tell me, how can I make this possible...?

Re: Mute Line-in Durning Commercials breaks

Like Ken said, the trick is to put a single live event in the master playlist, for example "86400.live" (copy the text in quotes to the clipboard and then paste it into the Raduga playlist) and set the player mode to "Repeat". Then click "Play".

Now Raduga will open the line-in channel for up to 86400 seconds (24 hours). When a scheduled event is due, Raduga will stop the current track (closing the line-in channel) and play the scheduled item. When the scheduled item has finished, Raduga will continue with the next playlist item, ie. open line in for another up to 24 hours.

Make sure to set the "run immediately" checkbox for all scheduled events.
In the Options/Line-In dialog select the mixer line that represents the line-in channel.

Re: Mute Line-in Durning Commercials breaks

ok Wlofgang Loch thank you very much. I copy and paste the 86400.live file in the clip board of raduga 3.8.1 , I also set the repeat on and I set the events for all commercials on run immediately, Ok raduga muted the line input for the dj's but it did'nt re-open after all the commercials finished , the line remained muted it does'nt re-open after all commercials have finished. can you tell me why does raduga 3.8.1 does that, I really like the sofware but I am having issues with its operation set up including setting up sweeps that would play over mixes while the play on the air. onemore thing can you please send me a 3600.live /dot file instead
