Re: time calculatimg bug

Some older Raduga versions have problems determining the correct duration of VBR-encoded MP3 files. Please try Raduga 3.8.5.

If you encode the MP3 files yourself, you should always use constant-bitrate encoding. See also
http://www.wolosoft.com/en/raduga/faq.html#mp3_encoder

Re: time calculating bug

Hi Wolfgang i was try a demo version of raduga
3.8.5 and i notice another problem. When i drag
a slider forward (below a masterplaylist) counter showes incorrect time. When countdown is on overlaping time (2 seconds before end) overlaping normaly starats, but the current song on air is about the middle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The same mp3 files normaly behaviour in winamp or other prgrs.
Old problem with incorrect remaining time are fixed in this version. Thank You.

Re: time calculatimg bug

Solution A) Don't move the slider. It will not sound good on the air anyway.

Solution B) Use Windows XP or install Windows Media Player 9.

Re: time calculating bug

Hi Wolfgang I notice that best version of raduga is 3.0 it's perfect program for 2000 year.
You still have problem with mp3 decompressor
Every version of raduga work on different way.
(moving slider-changing duration time, different duration time in version 3.6 - 2sec. longer songs, jumping over songs and play two songs in same time)
Can you fix overlaping problem like winamp sqr crossfade little plug in. It's scanning song level near end, and when snd. level drop below trigger level, than start overlaping. It's work preety nice. Renaming songs "...er.mp3~2.6" is too heavy way for perfect overlap. In Croatia lot of stations still using winamp for that reason.

Re: time calculatimg bug

The ideal configuration is Raduga 3.8.5 on Windows 2000 or Windows XP with Windows Media Player 9 installed. With this configuration there are no known problems. The duration is alway correct and seeking works even for VBR-encoded files.

Actually we used to offer an add-on tool made by sqr-Soft exclusively for Raduga. The batch overlap processor used to rename your MP3 files automatically to achieve perfect overlaps. Unfortunatly it appears that this company no longer exists.

I plan to integrate an level-based overlap feature in a future version of Raduga. If people like you who always ask for new features would actually pay for the software they are using, then we would probably already have this feature by now.
