Re: need help or example.2 (view)
Previously Raduga used only DirectShow to play all sorts of media files (like Windows Media Player 6.x). However, the default DirectShow codec for MP3 has a bug which caused Raduga to display an incorrent duration for some VBR-encoded MP3 files. Now Raduga used some other method (WMFormat SDK; like Windows Media Player 7 and higher) for playback of MP3 and WMA files. Therefore the duration is now exact even for MP3 files with VBR encoding. If you are using an older version of Windows (like Windows 98) you may need to install a new version of Windows Media Player to benefit from this enhancement.
