Juke suggestions

Add videos to playlist and save in navigation format (can be saved without navigation).
To use chapter search, press pause (shortcut space) and press jump button (shortcut return).
The next chapter will start at the beginning.

To unpause in the same chapter or single video, press space again.

To loop chapters press shift (press shift again for normal play).
Hold shift for slow speed or shift+ caps lock for always slow play (press caps lock without shift for normal speed).

Hold alternate and press F1 for video information (press F1 without alt for normal view).

When last chapter in list ends, it will stop at end of list (in Quicktime fashion).
When single video ends, it will stop at start of video (press escape to shut off).

After sizing window, press F4 to save expanded size (press again for normal view).

If you think these are not realistic capabilities, take a look at Media Player Classic: Home Cinema (supports mp4 and flv formats).

I don't know what you mean by "navigation format". You can already add videos to a playlist.

Do you know where I can find free video files that actually have multiple chapters?

Ok, that's already on the wishlist and should be easy to do.
Btw. you can use the "Play/Pause" key on the keyboard, but since not all keyboards have these multimedia key, using the space would be quite convenient.

Why would anyone want to play the same chapter in a loop?

How slow would then be "slow"? 2 times slower?

What sort of information would you like to see?

You mean, instead of closing the video window, it should stay open, but rewind to the beginning?

The Quicktime formats should work if you install the "Quicktime Alternative" codecs.

I guess you don't have to register to post or respond.

By navigation I mean playing the next video in the list without stopping (pause only).
I said "chapter search" but by chapter I mean the next video in the list that's saved as a whole (like a real music CD).
Yes some of these are shareware, demos, donationware, etc., but there are also free ones around that are either freeware or open source (GNU GPL).

You'd be surprised at how many people like to play songs or videos over and over.

1x is normal speed, so -1x might be slow enough for some people, however there are people who like -2x (any slower would be too slow).

To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure what information would be given when I wrote it, but now that I think of it, it can be user customized info if there is a place to write it.

Just like the other player I'm using now, it would be user customizable in an options setting, so remember size (if default), file information, and rewind/repeat would all be in that one section.
You just access it with your keyboard.

I know about Quicktime Alternative, but not everyone likes that program (asks to install an extra feature which may pose a privacy risk).

Most converter programs use FFmpeg (open source program) which can also use x264 (high quality codec for the mp4/MPEG-4 format).

I didn't think you really would answer me since you haven't been here for 2 years.

Hi Wolfgang,

I have one other suggestion for Juke.

In the present program when we start a playlist
the list is playing until it reaches the end of
the list.

What I would like to have is the possibility to
choose between continues playing of the selected
playlist(as it is at the moment), or to stop
playing after each song in the playlist.

So when one song ends I can do an announcement
before start playing another song from the
playlist.
